About our meditation classes

Updated

Our Local Winnipeg (In-Person) free introductory meditation classes are usually one evening a week for about 6 weeks from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm. We also have weekend courses on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, again for about 6 weeks. The location is usually a library, lecture room, or university/college classroom.

Simple techniques of meditation are offered: concentration, mantra, visualization, breathing, music and heart centre meditation.

Each week is a progression building on the last so attendance at each class is recommended.  New students are not permitted to join the course after the second session because they will have missed almost half of the program, but they are certainly welcome to attend the next course.

Upon completion of the 6-week course, follow up classes are offered for those wishing to intensify their meditation practice. As always, there is no charge.

UPCOMING MEDITATION CLASSES

Should you wish to be contacted for our next meditation course, which will be as soon as classrooms are available, please enter your name and phone number on the contact form and we will contact you once we know the exact location and times. Once again, please do not leave an email address as we prefer to contact you by phone. We appreciate your understanding.

About Our Meditation Classes

Since 1986 our members have been offering free meditation workshops and classes in Winnipeg. Thousands of people have benefitted from these classes by acquiring tools that help them achieve calmer, happier, and more meaningful lives. We welcome you to join them.

All our classes are offered free of charge from beginning to end. It is Sri Chinmoy’s philosophy that inner peace is our birthright and thus one should never be charged a fee to find it. Meditation should be shared, not sold.
